This volume deals with the origins of the New Zealand Armoured Corps in New Zealand during the Second World War, covering the mechanisation of the Mounted Rifle Regiments, the formation of the 1st NZ Army Tank Brigade and the operational history of the 3rd NZ Division Tank Squadron in the Solomon Islands. Containing approximately 64 pages with 92 photographs (over 70% not published before), three TOEs, three sets of 1:35 scale plans and unit serials for the three home service divisions as well as 3rd Division.
